Molly Stark Statue

About

Wilmington, VT

2005

Molly Stark was the wife of General John Stark and the mother of 11 children. During the American Revolution, she was always ready to support John and his troops, such as being their nurse when many developed smallpox and opening up their home as an infirmary. She is shown here with a baby in one arm, a flintlock musket in the other, and striding forward. The over life-sized sculpture is located on the historic Molly Stark Trail in Wilmington, Vermont.
